Setauket Harbor Task Force is a volunteer environmental organization working for clean water in Brookhaven's Port Jefferson Harbor Complex including Setauket Harbor and Conscience Bay. Our volunteer citizen scientists monitor the environmental health of our harbors and are part of a pilot program growing sugar kelp. We advocate for protection of marine life including finfish, shellfish, shorebirds, and horseshoe crabs. And we are dedicated to creating community awareness of and support for our local waters as well as enhancing appreciation of our natural and culturally-rich harbors and bays.
